You'll stop at the gates of Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, one of New Orleans' most atmospheric above-ground burial grounds. The cemetery is closed to the public, but standing outside its gate, your guide will tell you the real story of why this city buries its dead the way it does. New Orleans Secrets started the way most good things do — not with a business plan, but with a feeling. A carriage driver who'd spent years watching tourists miss the best parts of the city. A New Orleanian who took a French Quarter tour one day and rediscovered his own hometown through a stranger's eyes. A creative director who visited once, quit her job, and moved here.
